We initially were contacted to quote for connecting a new UFH system in the orangery to the existing Boiler. We were successfully awarded the job and completed the works as quoted. Upon completion of the works we discussed both the age of the existing system and advantages of upgrading. Converting an aged system to a modern system comes with associated risks and can be complicated!
It was decided to upgrade the existing 20+ year old floor standing conventional boiler to a modern Vaillant ecoTec system boiler with extended warranty. At the same time, we were to upgrade the existing 110 litre vented (low pressure) hot water system which was situated in the upstairs bedroom to 2no 150 litre unvented (high pressure) cylinders relocated to the new plant room. This was to increase both flow and pressure as there are plans to add further bathrooms in the future.
The job was completed in just over a week. Once the system was up and running, we completed a Magnacleanse powerflush to further increase the efficiency of the system removing any sludge! Commissioning of the new system was completed and handover explaining to the customer how the new boiler, cylinders and controls work. A few weeks later Gas Safe certificates and building control forms were sent out.
We then started a new project upgrading one bathroom which included for project management, plumbing, electrics, plastering, carpentry and tiling.
